SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAKES ARRESTS ON WARRANTS, POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported two arrests between Thursday and Friday.
A few minutes before 12:30 p.m. Thursday, deputies received information that a wanted subject was at a location in the 600 block of Main Street. Deputies located 34-year-old Pedroito Emillo Jaramillo of Brenham, who was taken into custody after his warrants were confirmed. Jaramillo was transported to the Washington County Jail for Expired Driver’s License and Assault Causing Bodily Injury.
Shortly after 1:45 p.m. Friday, Deputy Carson Holton was dispatched to Highway 290 East and Indian Paint Brush Road in reference to a hit and run. While enroute, Deputy Holton observed a vehicle matching that of the suspect vehicle and proceeded to make an investigative stop. During the stop, the sheriff’s office conducted a search of the vehicle and reported locating a baggie with a white substance. According to the sheriff’s office, the substance tested positive for cocaine. The driver, 20-year-old Cesar Granados Arbaiza of Georgetown, was placed into custody and booked into the Washington County Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram, Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, Less Than a Gram, and Accident Involving Damage to a Vehicle Greater Than $200.
