PORTION OF OLD INDEPENDENCE ROAD TO CLOSE BEGINNING TUESDAY
Starting next week, a section of Old Independence Road north of Brenham will be closed.
The road will be shut down between Seeker Road and Rocky Hill School Road from 8 a.m. on Tuesday, March 24th until 5 p.m. on Friday, April 10th.
Washington County Engineering and Development Services says crews will be installing large box culverts under the roadway, and there will temporarily be no access across that portion of the road between the aforementioned days.
Access will be available to Seeker Road and Rocky Hill School Road, but Old Independence Road will be completely shut down in between.
