BRAZOS VALLEY MOURNS PASSING OF CHUCK NORRIS
Famed martial artist and action star Chuck Norris has died.

Norris’ family announced today (Friday) that he had passed away suddenly on Thursday at the age of 86.
Norris was a multiple-time martial arts champion who was well-known in the entertainment world for his roles in films like “The Way of the Dragon”, “Missing in Action” and “The Delta Force”, as well as the TV series “Walker, Texas Ranger”.
Norris lived for many years on a ranch in Grimes County with his wife, Gena, and in 2017 they opened the CForce Bottling Company. Schools in Navasota and Bryan ISDs also participated in Norris’ character-building karate program, Kickstart Kids.
The City of Navasota said Norris was “a valued member of the Navasota community”, adding, “While known worldwide for his remarkable career and accomplishments, to us, he was also a neighbor whose presence left a lasting impression.”
Navasota ISD said Norris “impacted thousands of our students, instilling character, discipline, and respect that will last a lifetime.”
