The 12th-ranked Blinn College men’s golf team shot 26-over par and finished in the middle of the pack at the Midwestern State Invitational on Tuesday in Wichita Falls, Texas.
The Buccaneers finished ninth out of 18 teams.
The University of Texas Permian Basin won the two-day, three-round tournament with a 2-under-par performance.
Blinn was led by sophomore Jaxson Daniele, who shot even to tie for eighth place among 101 golfers. He was even after the first round, 3-under after round two, and even in his final round.
Following Daniele was Bucs sophomore Ben Potter, who cracked the top 25 with a 4-over showing that landed him 24th.
Freshman Broc Talamantez placed 52nd at 10-over, and sophomore Adrian Rodriguez was 61st at 12-over.
Next up for Blinn is the two-day SouthCentral District Championship, which begins Monday, April 27, at the Mission Del Lago Municipal Golf Course in San Antonio.
