Brenham ISD says the honor places it among the top 10 percent of Walsworth customers nationwide. The yearbook will be featured in the “Walsworth Possibilities” publication, which showcases exemplary work from yearbook programs across the country.
The district says this acknowledgement “reflects the exceptional creativity, leadership, and journalistic integrity demonstrated by the student staff and their adviser, Laurie Kirts.”
The 2025 yearbook staff includes Sevannah Sanchez, Jaqueline Hernandez, Quinton Sharp, Sydni Love, Yocelin Reyna, Madeleine Najera, Hillary Castellanos, Cameron Boggess, and Ja’Lea Henderson. Heidi Busker served as Editor-in-Chief of “We Were Here”.
Kirts said she is proud of the legacy the yearbook staff has created, adding, “This group of students poured their hearts into telling the stories of our campus. Their attention to detail, teamwork, and passion for capturing meaningful moments made ‘We Were Here’ truly special.”
Brenham High School Principal Michael Watts said, “Their dedication, creativity, and commitment to excellence are evident on every page. This achievement reflects not only their talent but also the strong culture of student leadership and storytelling at Brenham High School.”
