‘THE STRANGER’ COMING TO UNITY THEATRE APRIL 23 – MAY 10
A mystery by Agatha Christie will be the next play to take the stage at Unity Theatre in Brenham.
“The Stranger”, a short version of a psychological thriller taken from Philomel Cottage, will be performed on Unity’s Main Stage from April 23 – May 10.
In “The Stranger”, Enid questions her seven-year engagement and is looking for a spark in her lackluster life when she meets the handsome and charming Gerald Strange, who shares her longing for adventure and sweeps her off her feet. She moves to a remote cottage with her new husband, leaving behind her home, friends and fiancé, but soon makes a terrible discovery that things are not what they seem to be.
Showtimes are at 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays, 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. on Sundays. The preview performance on Thursday, April 23rd will have a talk back with the cast and staff after the show, while Director Rutherford Cravens will visit with the audience before the show on Saturday, May 2nd.
Tickets are $30, while preview show tickets are $24. Student seats, and any seats unsold 15 minutes before curtain, are $15.
Unity’s Circle members can make reservations starting on Monday. Subscriber reservations open on April 7th. Tickets go on sale to the general public on April 13th.
