COMMUNITY CORNER TO DISCUSS BAYLOR SCOTT & WHITE EVENTS, MATTHEW GAINES HISTORICAL MARKER DEDICATION

  

Community events with Baylor Scott & White Health and a historical marker dedication in Burton will be this week’s topics on the KWHI Community Corner.

Dr. Eric Alford, Chief Medical Officer of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Brenham, will share information about upcoming events being put on by Baylor Scott & White. 

Steph Jarvis of the Washington County Historical Commission will talk about the dedication of a Texas Historical Marker for Senator Matthew Gaines, one of the first African American lawmakers to serve in the Texas Legislature, on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Long Life Brotherhood Club/Matson Park.
