GAS PRICES CONTINUE CLIMB HEADING INTO EASTER
Gas prices continue to rise going into the Easter weekend.
Per the AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch, the statewide average for a gallon of regular unleaded fuel is $3.81. The price is 22 cents more expensive than this time last week, $1.08 more than last month, and 94 cents higher than last year.
In Brenham, the average price at reporting gas stations comes out to $3.75, with a low of $3.41 and a high of $4.00.
Surveying the metropolitan areas in Texas, drivers in Midland are paying the most on average at $4.01, while drivers in Amarillo are spending the least at $3.27.
Across the country, the average price per gallon of fuel is $4.09, which is up 12 cents from a week ago, up 99 cents from a month ago, and up 83 cents from this time a year ago.
