BRENHAM FD RESPONDS THURSDAY FOR ACCIDENT, HAZMAT CALL
The Brenham Fire Department was called out three times on Thursday and once early this (Friday) morning.
At 2:45 p.m. Thursday, firefighters responded to a crash in the 400 block of South Blue Bell Road. They provided traffic control before returning to service. There were no injuries.
Just before 8:15 p.m., units were dispatched to a hazmat incident in the 2100 block of South Market Street. They found two batteries in the middle of the roadway. The department isolated the hazmat and cleared the scene.
A few minutes shy of 9:45 p.m., BFD personnel went out to a fire alarm at a home in the 200 block of North Saeger Street. The alarm was determined to be false.
Another fire alarm was reported shortly after 4:30 a.m. today at Kruse Village, 1700 East Stone Street. The alarm was also found to be false.
