LOCAL SOCCER PLAYERS NAMED WALMART/THSCA ACADEMIC ALL-STATE

The 2026 Walmart/Texas High School Coaches Association Academic All-State Team has been announced for both Boys and Girls Soccer.

Four members of the Brenham Cubs were named to the Boy Soccer Academic All-State Team. Kolbe Asmussen and Benton Guillory were named to the second team, while Christopher Calix and Christopher Delgadillo were named Honorable Mention. 

On the Girls Soccer Side, Liliana Herrera of the Hempstead LadyKats was named to the Academic All-State First Team.

The Bellville Brahmanettes were also recognized on the Girls Soccer Academic All-State Team. Taking home Honorable Mention honors were Kensey Landua  and Destynie Brokmeyer.

The Giddings Lady Buffaloes placed two players on the Academic All-Star Team as well. Adamaris Hernandez and Audrey Nicks both received Honorable Mention honors.

Academic All-State honors go to student-athletes, trainers, or managers in good standing with the team, of good moral character, a senior, and have a grade point average of 92 or higher.
