BRENHAM FD CALLED OUT FOR ACCIDENT, GAS LINE HIT

The Brenham Fire Department went out to three calls on Wednesday.

Just past 11 a.m., units received a report of a gas line that had been hit in the 2100 block of South Austin Street.  The fire department and City of Brenham Gas Department found a one-inch gas line hit.  Firefighters stood by until the gas line was capped off.

Shortly after 12:15 p.m., a crash was called in from the 2000 block of South Day Street.  There, they found a two-vehicle accident with fluids in the roadway.  Personnel washed down the area and returned to service once both vehicles were removed from the roadway.

Close to 4:30 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to the Brenham State Supported Living Center, 4001 Highway 36 South, for a fire alarm.  Nothing was showing from the exterior of the building.  They found a bad detector and waited for maintenance to arrive and repair the detector.  Once the alarm was reset, the department cleared the call.
