SENIOR MAIFEST ROYALTY CELEBRATED AT CORONATION
The Senior Royalty for the 136th Brenham Maifest was honored Friday evening at Fireman’s Park.

Queen Stephanie Christina Donnell and King Jadon Thomas Shipley reigned over the court of “Elegance in the Elements”. The theme transported crowds on a train ride through the West Texas desert, the Fort Worth Stockyards and Billy Bob’s Texas, and the Gulf shores in Louisiana, Alabama and Florida.
The Junior Queen and King, Kate Elizabeth Flisowski and Travis Michael Hopkins, will be crowned Saturday at 6:30 p.m. as they reign over the court of “Safari: A Journey into the Wild!”
Saturday’s festivities begin with the parade through downtown Brenham at 10:30 a.m. KWHI will broadcast the parade live starting at 10:05 a.m. and will livestream it on Facebook, sponsored by Tres Chic Boutique. The Maifestival grounds will open after the parade for the carnival, music, dancing, beer tasting and games.
Music will be provided by Das Ist Lustig from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Alli and the Polka Dots from 2 to 5 p.m., Isaak Klaus and the Lederhosen Junkies from 5 to 8 p.m., and 90 Proof Country from 9 p.m. to midnight.
