JUST OVER 1,000 COME OUT FOR FIRST DAY OF EARLY VOTING
Early voting kicked off on Monday for the primary runoff election in Washington County.
According to Washington County Elections Administrator Carol Jackson, 1,005 people cast ballots on Monday, including 963 Republicans and 42 Democrats.
This week is the only week of early voting for the runoff. Hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. today (Tuesday) through Friday at the Washington County Courthouse Annex.
Election Day is Tuesday, May 26th.
