SEVEN SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT

  

Seven people pleaded guilty and were sentenced last week in 21st and 335th District Court before Judge Reva Towslee Corbett.

49-year-old Lance Martin Carpenter of Snook, sentenced to 10 years in prison for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 1-4 Grams, a third degree felony.  Carpenter was also sentenced to 1,464 days in prison for Bail Jumping/Failure to Appear, a third degree felony, and 2 years in state jail for Evading Arrest with Previous Conviction, a state jail felony.

27-year-old Nathaniel Dawan Fisher of Liberty Hill, sentenced to 7 years in prison for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, a first degree felony.  Fisher must also register as a sex offender for life.

43-year-old Arturo Ramon Lara of Brenham, sentenced to 3 years in prison for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 4-200 Grams, a second degree felony.

18-year-old Seandamien Padilla of Brenham, who originally pleaded guilty on May 7th, was sentenced at a hearing to 10 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, 1-4 Grams, a third degree felony.  Padilla must also pay a $180 lab fee, complete a drug offender education program, have a curfew to abide by, and not access any social media.  He was also convicted of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 3/4, Less Than 28 Grams, a Class A misdemeanor, and was given time served in the Washington County Jail for that charge. 

49-year-old Christine Michelle Innes of San Antonio, sentenced to 2 years’ probation for Theft of Property Less Than $2,500 with Two or More Previous Convictions, a state jail felony.  Innes was also ordered to pay $369.97 in restitution and a $50 crime stoppers fee. 

38-year-old Alburnie Meshae Reese of Houston, sentenced to 446 days in state jail for Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Passenger, a state jail felony.

40-year-old Rosario Delcarmen Vasquez of Brenham, sentenced to 3 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Forgery of a Financial Instrument $2,500 - $30,000, a state jail felony.  Vasquez must also pay $2,500 in restitution, a $75 hot check fee and a $50 crime stoppers fee.
