Investigation into a stolen motorcycle led to a pursuit over the weekend in Grimes County and the arrest of a man on evasion and drug possession charges.

The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to Shiflett Lane in Bedias at 1:15 p.m. Saturday after learning about a motorcycle reported stolen out of Brazos County.

The suspect, identified as Mitchell Zografos, reportedly evaded authorities on the motorcycle before leaving it behind and fleeing on foot toward a wooded area.  He was spotted running near a home off of FM 1696 West, and after a second foot pursuit, he was taken into custody without further incident.
