BRENHAM WOMAN ARRESTED ON SMUGGLING WARRANT
(Washington Co. Jail)
A Brenham woman was arrested by local police on Tuesday on an out-of-county smuggling warrant.
At 10 a.m., Brenham Police Officer Rosa Salinas conducted a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Highway 105 for an equipment violation.
Police say a records check revealed that the driver, identified as 30-year-old Kristina Shannon Cook, had an active warrant out of Kinney County for four counts of Smuggling of Persons.
Once the warrant was confirmed, Cook was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.
