AUSTIN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAKES AN ARREST IN CRIMINAL NEGLIGENT HOMICIDE CASE

The Austin County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in a criminal negligent homicide case that occurred this past Friday.
Austin County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 1000 block of Anna Lane in Sealy for a report of a juvenile with a gunshot wound.
Upon arrival, members of the Austin County EMS attempted life saving measures for approximately 30 minutes before the juvenile was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Austin County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division and a Forensic Investigator responded.
They processed the scene and interviewed witnesses.
In a press release, it was announced that 23-year-old Jordan Rodriguez was arrested for Criminal Negligent Homicide and transported to the Austin County Jail for booking.
The Sheriff’s Office said that the investigation is ongoing at this time.
