BURTON CROSS COUNTRY MEDALS AT MOULTON INVITATIONAL

The Burton Panther Cross Country Team traveled this past Saturday to Moulton for the 38th Annual Moulton Invitational. Both Burton squads combined for eight individual medals and a first-place team finish.

The Lady Panthers started the action off, led by Paisley Goldberg (Fr.), whose 13:12 time was good for 1st place in the 1A/2A division. She was followed shortly thereafter by Autumn Applewhite (Jr.), Isis Schulte (Fr.), and Maddie Dowling (Jr.), who finished 9th, 11th, and 12th respectively. Kinley Frank (Jr.) rounded out the scoring for the Lady Panthers, with Rose Nall (Fr.) and Dani York (Fr.) also contributing to the 1st Place overall team finish in the 1A/2A division.

The Panthers then followed, also earning four medals for four top 20 finishes. This week, the Panthers were led by Klein Rhodes (So.), with a 20:26 time for 10th overall. Hot on his heels was teammate Even Guerrero (So.) with a 20:28 time and an 11th place finish. Rounding out the medals was Zach Purvis (Jr.) in 17th and Colton Vickers (So.) in 19th. James Jarvis (So.) contributed to Burton's 59 points, with Dylan Dallmeyer (Jr.) and Bowen Levlon (Fr.) helping in the Panther's 3rd place 1A/2A division finish.

The Panthers have next week off from competition as many if the team members take part in Texas's longest running county fair. They will return to action on Saturday, September 26th, at the Somerville Invitational at Overlook Park on Lake Somerville.
