CUBETTE VOLLEYBALL EARNS FIRST DISTRICT WIN OVER HUNTSVILLE 3-2
The third time was the charm as the Brenham Cubette Volleyball Team picked up their first district win last (Tuesday) night over the Huntsville Lady Hornets 3-2.
Huntsville won the first set 25-22, Brenham came back to win the next two sets 25-23 and 25-20, Huntsville came back to tie the match by winning the fourth set 25-21, but then Brenham finished it off by winning the fifth set 15-9.
Hannah Bush led the offense with 26 kills, and also had nine digs on defense. Maggie Thibodeaux finished with a double-double, 17 kills and 16 digs.
Logan Hayslip led the defense with 36 digs. Claire Huff dished out 27 assists, and also had 11 digs on defense.
With the win, the Cubettes are now 12-17 overall and 1-2 in district play.
Next up, they will be going on the road to face Montgomery tomorrow (Thursday) night at 6pm.
