WASHINGTON CO. TO PARTICIPATE IN NATIONAL NIGHT OUT TUESDAY
Communities around the area will celebrate National Night Out tonight (Tuesday).
Neighborhoods, churches and other locations will host block parties from 6 to 8:30 p.m. to give residents and local first responders the opportunity to meet and build relationships. This year’s theme is “Party Like it’s 1999”.
Brenham Police Chief Gary Boshears extended an invitation to join in the festivities during Thursday’s city council meeting, whether through a neighborhood block party or by attending the city’s block party in the Commerce Street parking lot in downtown.
Some of the other organized gatherings in Washington County will be at Kruse Village, New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Salem Lutheran Church, Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville, the Whitener-Winkler Pavilions in Burton, under the water tower in Chappell Hill, and at the Rocky Creek and Prairie Hill Volunteer Fire Departments.
KWHI and KTEX-106 will visit block parties across the region.
