BRENHAM CUB BAND TAKES PART IN THE KATY ISD MARCHING FESTIVAL
The Brenham Cub Band took part in the 41st Annual Katy ISD Marching Festival this past Saturday.
The Marching Festival, which was held at Legacy Stadium in Katy, featured the Cub Band competing in a field of 28 schools, most of which were 6A.
Brenham finished the competition with an overall score of 75.65. That score placed them tenth overall. They were the only non-6A school to make the top ten.
The Cub Band performed their show, “The Ancient Mystery of Stone Henge.”
The students were dressed in medieval costumes, and they also constructed a replica set of the famous landmark.
Their song selections included “Aurora Awakes” by John Mackey, “Equus” by Eric Whitacre, and original music by Omar Camenates and Shane Kolbey.
