4-H FAMILY NIGHT STILL PLANNED FOR JULY 31 AT WASHINGTON CO. FAIRGROUNDS ENTERTAINMENT PAVILION

Plans are still in place to recognize the youth of 4-H in Washington County at the annual 4-H Family Night.

The event is scheduled for July 31st at the Washington County Fairgrounds, with a meal at 5:45 p.m. and awards program at 6:45 p.m.  The gathering will be held outside at the entertainment pavilion, to keep in line with COVID-19 restrictions.

County Extension Agent Allyson James said the event has gotten the go-ahead from the local government to have a gathering of more than 100 people.

The theme for this year’s event is “We Stick Together” with cacti.  Attendees will be required to wear masks unless they are eating or drinking.

Tickets for non-4-H members and adults are $10, while 4-H members are free.  Tickets can be purchased at the Washington County Extension Office in Brenham at 1305 East Blue Bell Road.  All RSVPs must be made by Friday, July 24th at 5 p.m.

KWHI will broadcast the program beginning at 6:30 p.m.
