PHONY MONEY FOUND IN BRENHAM

  

Brenham Police are warning the public to keep an eye out for counterfeit 20-dollar bills.

According to police, a fake bill was recently passed at a local business and is currently under investigation.

The phony bills, which have been circulating in the area recently, have the words “Motion Picture Use Only” printed on both sides of the –otherwise authentic-looking bill.

Police are urging all citizens—especially business owners and store clerks, use extra caution to ensure the authenticity of any cash exchanged.

Anyone who comes across a counterfeit bill is advised to contact authorities.
