BURLESON COUNTY HOSPITAL DISTRICT SEEKING BIDS FOR NEW CLINIC

  

Burleson County’s Hospital District directors are searching for a contractor for a new clinic in Somerville.

The Hospital District’s Board of Directors has listed a deadline for July 31 for receiving bids for the new facility.  A meeting will be held on Monday at Citizens State Bank in Somerville, where the project architect will meet with prospective contractors.

The board will have 45 days after the July 31 bid deadline to choose a contractor.  The final blueprints, from Harrell Architects, LP, of Houston, was approved by directors at a recent meeting.

The board expects construction to begin in the fall and to take roughly nine months.  Projected costs are $1.5 million, but exact costs won’t be determined until bids are submitted.
