GAS PRICES DROP 8-CENTS PER GALLON
The price of a gallon of gas dropped drastically in the past week.
According to AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch, the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas is $2.37—eight cents less than last week.
That price, though, is six cents more per gallon compared to this same time last year.
Locally the average price of a gallon of gas is $2.38—with a low of $2.29 and a high of $2.57.
Of the major metropolitan areas surveyed in Texas, drivers in Midland are paying the most at $2.93 while drivers in Sherman-Denison are paying the least at $2.16.
The national average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is $2.67, which is six cents less than last week and 11 cents more than the price per gallon at this same time last year.
