FUNERAL SERVICES SET FOR BLINN BASEBALL PLAYER KILLED IN ATV ACCIDENT

  

Funeral arrangements have been announced for former Blinn baseball player Sammy Blair.

Blair was seriously injured in an ATV rollover accident that occurred early Friday morning, on property in the Stoneham community.  After arriving at CHI St. Joseph in Navasota later that morning, he passed away from injuries sustained.  He was 21 years old.

Grimes County Sheriff’s Investigators are currently looking into the incident, and do not believe foul play is involved.  Preliminary autopsy results are pending, at the Montgomery County Forensic Center in Conroe.

A gathering of family and friends is scheduled for Friday from 5 to 7 p.m., at St. Mary Catholic Church in Plantersville, with a vigil service and parish rosary following.  A community candlelight vigil will be held at 9 p.m. that night, at Rattler Stadium in Navasota.

A funeral mass will be held Saturday morning, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church.  Blair will be buried in the St. Mary’s Church Cemetery.  Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home in Navasota.
