BELLVILLE POLICE STRICTLY ENFORCING PARKING ORDINANCE
Bellville police say they have begun cracking down on parking violators.
City utility customers have started to receive memos concerning parking ordinance and enforcement. The letter says police have started “strictly enforcing” parking violations within city limits.
Restrictions that were mentioned in the letter included parking with the flow of traffic, two-hour parking spaces around the town square, marring vision at a driveway or intersection, or parking trailers on the street for an extended period of time.
Several discussions regarding parking ordinance within the city have been brought up at council meetings, but talk at recent meetings has led to city officials taking enforcement more seriously.
The full list of parking restrictions can be found in the city’s code of ordinances, available online at www.cityofbellville.com.
Brenham needs to do the same.
Oh goody, more tickets being issued, just what we need! NOT! Notice that handicap parking enforcement is not mentioned. How about checking to see if the people parking in these spaces are actually have a handicapped person traveling with them. Am I alone in being tired of our governmental entities preying on citizens for more and more money! How about trying to educate the public instead issuing tickets.
Not too difficult to obey the law in the first place, try doing that, and you wont get a ticket.
