BRENHAM MAIFEST SCHEDULE UNDERGOES BIG CHANGES

  

There have been some big changes to this weekend’s Brenham Maifest schedule.

Hundreds still turned out for Thursday night’s Junior Coronation at Fireman’s Park, but it was postponed due to weather.

It is now scheduled for Saturday morning at 10 a.m.  Participants are asked to report to the outfield at 9:30 a.m.

The Senior Coronation will also be held Saturday, but it has been moved back an hour to 8 p.m. Participants need to be at the outfield no later than 7:30 p.m.

The Maifest Parade will now be held in downtown Brenham Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. Children can ride in the parade even if they are in church clothes and not in costume.

Tonight (Friday) will still have performances from Charles and the Fabulous 4 from 5 to 7 p.m., and Wesley Westbrook will be back from 7 to 10 p.m.

Junior Maifest participants will get to celebrate in the Senior Maifest finale around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, waving LED balloons and watching the fireworks finale.

Volunteers are asked to help Saturday changing sets in between the Junior and Senior Coronations. Anyone wishing to help is asked to report to left field after the Junior Coronation ends for assignment.
