BLINN BOARD TO CONSIDER ADOPTION OF 2019-20 BUDGET TUESDAY
The Blinn Board of Trustees will consider adoption of the 2019-20 budget and stipends at its meeting this (Tuesday) afternoon.
The proposed budget sits at $119.8 million, $4.5 million above last year’s approved budget of $115.3 million, a 3.9 percent increase.
Also in session, the board will consider a contract with American Mechanical Services of Houston, LLC for replacement and installation of a boiler in the Brenham Campus Administration Building. The recommended contract is for $120,316, with the project being paid for by 2016 bond funds.
The board will also look at a contract for cast stone replacement and exterior wall rehabilitation for six buildings on the Bryan campus. Blinn administrators are recommending the College award a contract to United Restoration and Preservation, Inc. for $3.2 million.
Upon approval, construction will begin in July and is expected to be completed next April. Funds for the project are available from 2016 bond funds.
The board will meet this afternoon at 5:30 p.m., in the Brenham Campus Administration Building.
