BRENHAM ANIMAL SERVICES REMINDING PUBLIC TO KEEP PETS SAFE DURING 4TH OF JULY

As the 4th of July gets closer, it’s important to remember just how noisy of a holiday it can be, and how that can affect pets.

According to Brenham Animal Services Manager Allison Harper, more pets go missing on the 4th of July than any other time of the year.

Harper says there are several things pet owners can do to keep their pets safe and happy during all the festivities.

Harper says microchipping, in particular, is a great way to ID a pet and make sure they don’t get lost.

The Brenham Pet Adoption Center is offering microchips for pets for $10, no appointment necessary.  The adoption center will be open this week Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  It will be closed for the 4th of July holiday.

The Brenham Pet Adoption Center is located at 1804 Longwood Drive in Brenham.
