A San Juan man was arrested Monday in Fayette County, after authorities there discovered more than 60 pounds of marijuana in the bed of his truck.

Just around noon Monday, Fayette County Sheriff’s Sergeant Randy Thumann and K-9 Kolt stopped a truck on I-10 at the 660 mile marker for a traffic violation.

After speaking with the driver, Sgt. Thumann observed many indicators of narcotics trafficking, and was given consent to search the vehicle.  Kolt was deployed to do an exterior sweep of the vehicle, and alerted to the bed of the truck for the presence of illegal narcotics.
