FOUR DEAD IN WALKER COUNTY CRASH
Four people are dead—one person is in critical condition—following a horrific head-on crash Wednesday afternoon, south of Huntsville in Walker County.
The accident occurred just before 5:00 p.m. on Highway 75, near Park Road 40, between Huntsville and New Waverly.
Authorities say that a black four-door Ford was traveling south on Highway 75, while a white four-door Fusion was headed north. The driver of the south-bound vehicle reportedly tried to pass in a no-passing zone, when it hit the north-bound car head-on.
The lone survivor of the crash was transported by helicopter to a nearby medical facility.
The crash is under investigation by the Department of Public Safety.
