BELLVILLE FFA CLAIMS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP IN INDIANAPOLIS

Bellville FFA has won its fourth national championship in school history.
Last week, at the 92nd National FFA Convention and Expo in Indianapolis, Bellville FFA claimed the national title for Nursery/Landscape Career Development Event (CDE). The school’s first place team was made up of Lillian Hohlt, Canute Janish, Amanda Kaase, and Braden Raeke.
Janish also took home second place individually, and Raeke placed 10th.
Bellville was a Gold Emblem team, and all four placed as Gold Emblem individuals.
The top ten individuals and national winning team members earned cash awards for their success in the event, sponsored by Kubota Tractor Corporation, Haviland Plastics, and STIHL Inc.

Earning Silver Emblem honors in the competition was Bellville FFA’s Dairy Judging Team, consisting of Colton Kaase, Kaylin Krebs, Garrett Melnar, and Emily Shupak.
Bellville’s past FFA titles came in 2017 for Ag Sales, 1996 for Public Speaking, and 1964 for Livestock Judging.
