(Grimes Co. Jail)
A Navasota teen has been arrested in connection to a Christmas Eve shooting that injured two people.
17-year-old Donquarius Jessie was booked into the Grimes County Jail Thursday afternoon, charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.
Navasota police were called out shortly before 8 p.m. Tuesday evening to the 700 block of Doris Street, just west of downtown Navasota, to a report of shots fired.
Police say they found two victims: one was grazed by a bullet on the stomach, the other was shot in the hand. Both were taken to an area hospital, where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
