According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, La Grange police responded Saturday to the Fayette County Precinct One Barn on Ellinger Road, in regards to a stolen Fayette County pickup truck and dump trailer from the location.

A subject, later identified as 52-year-old Oscar Correa, was located in the wooded area behind the property, with the stolen pickup’s keys in his pocket.

Correa was arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.  Correa also had warrants out of Waller and Austin Counties for Burglary, Assault, Theft, and Evading Arrest.

The stolen truck was later found in a damaged state in the Bealls parking lot in La Grange, while the stolen dump trailer was located in the Chappell Hill area.

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek applauds the multiple agencies that assisted in the investigation and arrest, saying it was “a great collaborative effort”.
