BURTON SCHOOL BOARD TO SET UP MAY’S SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION

  

The Burton School Board will go through the setup of this spring’s school board election at its meeting Monday.

The board will consider an order of a school board election for the positions currently held by Ande Bostain, Felton Cox, and Misty Lucherk on May 2nd, along with election procedures.  The board will also look at approving a joint election contract with the City of Burton, and appoint election officials.

Also in session, the board will consider options for the employment of a school nurse.  In addition, board members will meet in executive session for the annual evaluation of Superintendent Dr. Edna Kennedy, along with continued discussion on district safety and security.

The board will also hear reports from the superintendent, athletic director, and elementary and high school principals.  It will also consider approval of the Washington County Appraisal District audit.

The board will meet Monday evening at 6 p.m. in the Burton ISD Administration Office.
