BURTON SCHOOL BOARD TO DISCUSS SCHOOL YEAR CALENDAR, PERSONNEL CONTRACTS THURSDAY

  

The Burton School Board will meet tonight (Thursday) to review next year’s school year calendar and look at several personnel contracts.

Board members will consider the proposed calendar for the 2020-21 school year, along with the contracts of the elementary and high school principals, athletic director, counselor, and director of student services.

Also at tonight’s meeting, the board will consider a bus purchase, as well as a resolution regarding a special education shared services agreement with the Brazos Valley Regional Day School Program for the deaf shared services arrangement.  There will also be a public hearing to discuss the district and campus 2018-19 Texas Academic Performance Reports.

Board members will also hear reports from the principals, athletic director, and superintendent.

The board will then adjourn into executive session to discuss personnel and district safety and security.

The board will first meet at 5 p.m. for a board training session before its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m.  Both meetings will be held at the Burton ISD Administration Office.
