FAYETTE CO. ADJUSTS NUMBER OF COVID-19 CASES

  

The number of cases of coronavirus in Fayette County has dropped after a miscount was discovered.

According to Fayette County Emergency Management Chief Greg Moreau, the number of cases dropped from 17 to 13, when it was discovered four cases had been counted twice.

Moreau says the error came to light during a teleconference with state officials, revealing four patients were double listed.

Moreau says the source of the confusion likely stems from four cases initially reported by the Department of State Health Services, with incorrect ages listed.
