After a rain delay of about 25 minutes, Brenham ISD honored its 2020 High School senior class with a graduation ceremony Saturday night at Cub Stadium.

Alexis Hamilton delivers the valedictory address.After a rain delay of about 25 minutes, Brenham ISD honored its 2020 High School senior class with the graduation ceremony Saturday night at Cub Stadium.

The ceremony was live-streamed via YouTube for those unable to attend.  A recording has been posted to the Brenham High School website.

Per TEA guidelines, social distancing was observed at the stadium.

Approximately 340 seniors were honored at the event, including Valedictorian Alexis Hamilton and Salutatorian Alldyn Schroeder.

Schroeder said the class of 2020 will not be overshadowed or defined by the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Hamilton said while the pandemic may have caused the senior class to miss out on many senior memories, it has also taught valuable life lessons.

The ceremony was broadcast live on AM 1280 KWHI, FM 101.7, kwhi.com and a recording of the ceremony can be seen on KWHI’s Facebook page.
