KWHI WELCOMES NEW SUMMER STAFF MEMBER

KWHI would like to welcome a new member to its news department.

Brette Kohring

Brette Kohring has joined the team as an intern for the summer.

Kohring is currently a senior at Texas A&M University pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Communications and is expected to graduate in May of 2021. She has developed her writing skills through her own blog, Being with Brette, and has written press releases following games for the Brazos Valley Bombers summer baseball club.

Kohring is eager to gain on-the-job experience and obtain first-hand insight into journalism and news broadcasting.  In addition to writing stories, she’ll also be covering meetings and voicing stories for broadcast.

Kohring is a 21-year-old Brenham native. She has two younger siblings, Blake and Barrett. Her parents, Russell and Amanda, sell life insurance and investments for WoodmenLife. Kohring played softball for Brenham High school from 2013-2017, and spent her first two years after high school playing softball at Angelina College before transferring to Texas A&M.

  3. A Big Congratulations Ms Brette Kohring on all your accomplishments this far and wish you well in everything your future holds.

It’s very nice to see a nice story on a local student and hopefully more to come that just might start with this young ladies desire to be a leader in the community.

Great job KWHI for giving the opportunity to this young lady to further her life skills along with her career going forward.
