FAITH MISSION TO HOLD CANDLELIT CHRISTMAS AS SERIES OF DINE-IN DINNERS

VIRTUAL KICK-OFF SHOW NOVEMBER 19TH ON KWHI

Faith Mission’s annual Christmastime tradition and primary fundraiser will take on a new look this year.

Due to continued COVID-19 restrictions, Faith Mission’s Candlelit Christmas Gala will not be held as one large gathering at Silver Wings Ballroom.  Instead, it will be broken up into six dine-in dinners hosted over three days at the Cannery Kitchen.

Meals will be served at the kitchen December 1st, 9th, and 15th from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and from 7 to 8:30 p.m.  The three-course meals will be catered by Alejandra Ray of Bevers Kitchen.

Faith Mission Executive Director Reverend Randy Wells says the dinners will kick off the Advent Season like previous galas, just with a smaller size in order to be mindful of proper health practices.

Prior to the dinners, Faith Mission will hold a Cyber Candlelit Christmas Kick-off Show on November 19th from 6:30 to 7 p.m. at the Cannery Kitchen.  The show will explain how Candlelit Christmas will work this year, how Faith Mission has worked to support the community through the pandemic, and what the public can do to support the organization.  Meanwhile, Faith Mission staff members will be taking pledges for tickets and tables for the dine-in dinners.  The show will be broadcast live on KWHI and streamed on KWHI’s Facebook page.

Rev. Wells says he is grateful for the continued support shown to Faith Mission by the community.

Sponsors for this year’s Candlelit Christmas are Blue Bell Ice Cream and Stylecraft.  To learn more, or to purchase tickets or tables for the event, call 979-830-1488, or visit https://faithmission.us.
