SUBHUB CALL CENTER NOT TAKING CALLS UNTIL COMPLETION OF CURRENT REGISTRATION LIST
Those who were unable to get in contact with the Regional Vaccination subHUB call center to get on the list to receive a COVID-19 vaccine may have to wait for the foreseeable future.
According to City of Brenham Communications and Public Relations Manager Melinda Gordon, the call center is closed at this time and is not taking calls, as it is working through approximately 8,000 people on the registration list from Monday, January 18th.
This means that residents who were not part of the initial 8,000 that received a recording or otherwise made contact with the call center will not receive a call back, and they cannot call back until phone lines are reopened.
When asked if and when the call center would reopen, Gordon said there is not a timeline or good answer as to when that would be, because the state provides no guarantee or details of additional vaccine allotments. She said she is hopeful that the subHUB will continue to receive vaccine allocations, and once the current registration list is complete, the call center will be opened again.
Gordon said Washington County has been working to make the process more efficient, possibly putting the registration online if allowed by the state.
Another round of vaccinations began at the Washington County Expo today (Tuesday), after the subHUB received another 2,000 vaccines over the weekend. The subHUB has received a total of 4,000 vaccines.
Extremely well organized at the vaccination site need improvement on the call center reservation site.
