MAIN STREET BRENHAM NAMES NEW COORDINATOR

  

Main Street Brenham has named a new Main Street Coordinator.

Brenham native Kathrine Briscoe fills the position.  She will be tasked with meeting with other Main Street representatives, elected officials, and downtown merchants and property owners to gather feedback on how to improve the Main Street program.

Briscoe, who graduated from Texas A&M University in December 2019 after studying business management, returned to Brenham several weeks ago after previously working in insurance in Houston.  She says the small community feel and proximity to loved ones made coming back to Brenham an easy decision.

 

Briscoe says she wants to play a key role in continuing to make downtown Brenham a growing destination.

 

Briscoe believes downtown is the heart of the Brenham community, and her vision is to preserve it in any way possible.

Briscoe’s mother, Kay, owns Kay’s Cuisine for the Soul, located at 603 South Market Street near downtown.
