WINNERS OF BEEF ON THE BRAZOS ANNOUNCED
The Washington-on-the-Brazos Historical Foundation has announced the winners of their third annual Beef on the Brazos fundraiser.
The winners were determined during a drawing on Wednesday at the Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site.
Winner of a herd of 20 F1 Braford heifers—with an estimated value of around $20,000—was Charles Anderson from San Leon.
Ambra Kent of Cypress won the second place prize of $1,000, while Neil Schuleman of Navasota won the third place prize of $500.
The Historical Foundation says the event raised nearly $70,000. All the proceeds from the fundraiser will directly benefit the site.
