BRENHAM ISD TEMPORARILY BOOSTING SUBSTITUTE PAY
Brenham ISD is offering a temporary pay increase as it seeks to hire new substitute teachers.
The temporary pay raise for all substitute teacher positions will be effective starting today (Monday) and ending Friday, December 17th. Pay rates vary based on education and certifications.
Substitute teachers with GEDs or high school diplomas will now receive $100 per day, compared to a normal daily rate of $80.
Degreed substitute teachers will receive $125 per day, up from the normal rate of $90 per day.
Certified substitute teachers and school nurses will receive $150 per day, compared to the usual daily amount of $100.
Paraprofessional positions will receive $85 per day, compared to a normal rate of $65 per day.
