Students and teachers from St. Paul's Christian Day School sing "God Bless America" outside the Washington County Courthouse Friday morning to honor the 20th anniversary of 9/11.

Students and teachers from St. Paul’s Christian Day School gathered in downtown Brenham this (Friday) morning to commemorate the 20th anniversary of September 11th.

After a short program at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Sanctuary, students in grades 1-6 came to downtown and walked around the courthouse square, accompanied by a fire truck decorated in patriotic colors.

Students then met at the gazebo to pray and say the pledge of allegiance before singing “God Bless America” to pay tribute to all victims of the 9/11 attacks and their families, as well as first responders.
