SCARECROW FESTIVAL DRAWS THOUSANDS TO CHAPPELL HILL

The Chappell Hill community welcomed thousands of visitors this weekend for the annual Scarecrow Festival.
Great weather complemented the two-day festival on Saturday and Sunday, which featured hundreds of vendors, live music, food and refreshments, colorful fall decorations and plenty of family-friendly activities in downtown Chappell Hill.
Event volunteer Joel Romo says the Chappell Hill Historical Society enjoyed another successful festival.
Romo says the Scarecrow Festival, along with the Bluebonnet Festival in the spring, are the Historical Society’s major fundraisers to maintain buildings and historic properties in Chappell Hill. Neither festival was held last year due to COVID-19.
Romo says planning is already underway for next year’s festivities.
