TEXAS CZECH HERITAGE AND CULTURAL CENTER CELEBRATING 25TH ANNIVERSARY

  

The Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center in La Grange is less than two weeks away from celebrating its 25th Anniversary.

The Anniversary Celebration is being held in conjunction with the 20th annual Slavnost “May Fest” on Sunday, May 15, at the Center which is located at 250 West Fairgrounds Road in La Grange.

The day begins with a special recognition ceremony of the TCHCC’s anniversary at 10:30am.

That will be followed by a fried chicken meal being served beginning at 11:30, featuring Czech-style desserts, and beverages of all kinds.  Food and drinks will be available all day.

The Czechaholics Band are going to provide live music at the event from 11:30-4 on the deck of the main center.

Other activities during Slavnost include tours of the Czech Village, the Czech Newspaper Museum, the Polka Lovers Club of Texas Museum, the Texas Czech Agriculture Museum, and the Czech Music Museum of Texas.

There will also be a Classic Car Show, the Kopecky Gift Shop, a Country Store and a Pastry Shop.

Tickets to Slavnost are $12 per person. The price includes the meal and all the activities.

The event is sponsored by the La Grange Main Street and Visitors Bureau.
