BELLVILLE WOMAN INDICTED FOR MURDER OF HUSBAND

A Bellville woman charged in the death of her husband in March has been indicted by a grand jury in Austin County.

56-year-old Kathy Elaine Maresh was indicted last week for murder, accused of shooting and killing her husband, 62-year-old Jimmy Dale Maresh, on March 22nd.

Kathy Maresh was found by the Austin County Sheriff’s Office wandering on foot around the area of Sycamore Crossing and Highway 159 West.  When questioned, she told deputies she had shot her husband and that he was dead in their home in the 1500 block of South Tesch Street in Bellville.

An autopsy report indicated Jimmy Maresh was killed by two gunshots to the upper torso.

Kathy Maresh was booked into jail on a $500,000 bond.  She has since posted bond.

Nine other indictments were also released from last week’s grand jury session.  They include:

32-year-old Jose Abdon Alvarado, indicted for Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child under 14.

28-year-old Deion Christopher Bates, for Theft of Property between $2,500 and $30,000.

39-year-old Emily Elizabeth Bosse and 34-year-old Jousten Dewayne Carter, both indicted for Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance.

22-year-old Dillon Micheal Kollman, for Sexual Assault of a Child.

67-year-old Karen Lee Dahse and 81-year-old Edward Matthew Schoen III, both for Possession of Marijuana between 5 and 50 pounds.

49-year-old Jose Mendoza, for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.

62-year-old Charles Dean Olson, indicted for Deadly Conduct – Discharge of a Firearm.
