GIDDINGS BOYS & GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS WIN DISTRICT TITLES

The Giddings Buffalo Boys and Girls Cross Country teams are District Champions after winning the District 22-4A Meet in Caldwell today (Tuesday).

The Giddings Boys dominated with all seven of their runners finishing in the top 12. Kayden Bloodworth was 1^st, Tristan Martinez was 2^nd, Julian Olivares is 3^rd, Joseph Villegas was 6^th, Kooper Bloodworth was 7^th, Cesar Carrillo was 10^th, and Andrew Rodriguez was 12^th.

La Grange finished fourth overall, and Caldwell was 5^th.  For the Leopards, Brody Abbey finished 9^th overall, and will advance to Regionals.

Caldwell finished 5th overall.

On the Girls Side, Giddings had 7 of the top 14 runners.  Kaitlin Wilson was 1^st, Kayla Herrera was 5^th, Lauren Matthijetz was 6^th, Emily Schulze was 7^th, Lydia Boriack was 8^th, Sadie Michel was 13^th, and Grace Fromme was 14^th.

Caldwell finished second in district.  Individually, Kysen Toney finished 4^th overall and Natalie Eastepp finished 10^th.

La Grange finished 3^rd in district.  Top 10 finishers individually, were Ellee Sodolak in 2^nd place, Eleanor Carey in 3^rd place, and Faith Greenwood in 9^th.
